I almost forgot......an award!!!!!

I received the Arte-Y-Pico Award from resq tails (http://www.resqtails.com/). These are some nice woofies that Meowm met when she went and watched the agility stuff!

And here are the rules:

1. Pick five blogs that you consider deserve this award for creativity, design, and interesting material and also contribute to the blogger community regardless of language.
2. Each award has to have the name of the author and a link to his/her blog to be visited.
3. Each award winner has to show the award and put the name and link to the blog that has given him/her the award itself.
4. Award winners and the one who has given the prize have to show the link of the Arte-y-Pico blog so everyone will know the origin of the award. http://arteypico.blogspot.com/
5. In compliance with said rules, the award winner must show these rules.

I believe most everyone has received this award so I am breaking the rules and not passing it along. (I know, I'm such a rebel). But if someone hasn't received it...consider it given to you!

Thanks resq tails for giving me this award!!!!!!

Tabby Tuesday

Why don't beans understand that we MUST be fed at the crack of dawn a.m.? Is it so hard to get their booties out of bed to feed us? I mean, come on, 5:30 is not a bad time at all. I know some of you cats out there wake up your beans earlier than that.....but Meowm thinks it is just a horrible time for me to wake her!!! I just can't get it through her thick skull that I am STARVING by that time! I am WASTING away! All of my RIBS are poking through my skin!! I meow and meow at her, using up the last of my strength and all she does is scoot me off the big bed! And then I have to waste more precious energy getting back up there to meow at her more!! What finally worked this morning was my brother yakking. Oh he isn't really sick, he just scarfed down some dry food without chewing it so it came back up. But if sure got Meowm out of bed quick! The ONLY time I see her move that fast is when he yaks. Part of me wants him to yak like this every morning....it would make my job a lot easier....but I know how horrible it is to yak so I will have to work on other ways to get Meowms LAZY bootie out of bed! Sheesh!!! Beans!!!

My new food

My friend Luxor asked about my new food.....so here it is. Castor & Pollux Organic Food. Meowm doesn't know tons about it...its organic, no gluten and I like it, so she bought it!

To my lovely Ninna,

How about if I teleport over there and keep you company? That way neither one of us has to put up with Orion's sneaky pounces.

Smoochies, Junior

Meezer Monday

Meowm loves me! She brought home a sample of food last weekend and I LOVED IT!!!!! So she went out this weekend and bought me a bag of it. She is happy about it because it is organic food and has no gluten in it. I don't know what organic or gluten is, I just know I love this food. And Meowm has been concerned about my weight ever since I got sick. She thinks between Orion eating my food and my being picky that I am not getting enough to eat. Well, there is another food that I like, but I don't chew it, so it ends up coming back up. Meowm says this food is big enough that I have to chew it. Now if we can just get my brother to quit eating my food.

And I would also prefer that he quit pouncing on me, early in the morning while I am laying on the big bed just minding my own business. Meowm doesn't think that his constant sneaky pouncing is doing me any good either. She says I am more jumpy when she goes to pet me, and I am more hissy as well. She is right....I am tired of being pounced on, having my neck bitten and just being harassed in general. That is why I go in the PTU....I only have one direction I have to protect myself from in there. Meowm is watching out for me....she had the squirt bottle out last night and Orion got hit with a few sprays.

I am going to see if I can go nap in peace for a bit.

Beyond busy

Meowm was beyond busy yesterday, so she couldn't help us blog much. We managed to visit a few of you and leave comments....but others we could only visit, and still others, we didn't even get to visit. Meowm will be busy again today but we want you all to know we are thinking of you and purraying for those that need them.

The things we got to smell!

Meowm brought home some very interesting smells over the weekend.

On Friday night she brought home this musky smell. We had smelled that one before but it had been awhile. Meowm said it was ferret. We have never seen a ferret, but we would like to. Maybe this one can come visit us some time.

On Saturday afternoon, she came home with tons of woofie smells on her! She said she had been watching woofie agility stuff. She met up with the woofie Mom from Tiptail (http://tiptail.com/) and watched Chase make some runs. She also met Levi, Tatum and Muffit. There were lots of other woofies there to look at and pet and she had a great time. You should go over to Tiptail and say hi! Meowm says they are very nice woofies! And Meowm wants to say thanks to Tiptial Mom, Cynthia, for inviting her and showing her around.

Saturday evening she came home with another cat smell on her and this one we have smelled before also. She said it was Navar that she had visited.

Finally, on Sunday she was gone for about 3 hours and came home with all kinds of birdie smells on her. She said she went to Tracy Aviary and visited birdies there. I (Junior) sniffed on her shoes for at least an hour when she got home! Oh how I wish I could have been with her to see those birdies for myself.

So it was extra nice to spend time with her yesterday seeing as how she was miss social butterfly over the weekend.

Friday!!! WOO HOO!!!

It seems like it has been forever since the last Friday! I am so looking forward to having Meowm around again! If I had my way she would only go the the j-o-b...maybe three times a week.

Orion got in trouble last night for eating my stinky goodness. Meowm put him the the human litterbox room and left him there for what Meowm says was about 15 minutes. He meowed so pitifully you would think he had been in there all day! I did go keep him company...there was just a door between us. Later, when Meowm was getting ready for bed he jumped up there and started digging. Well, Meowm is generally no fool, and she remembered last time he did that, so she swatted him on the butt. He ran, Meowm followed and sure enough, he was in the litterbox. He was gonna pee on our big bed again!!!!!!! What a dope! I am sure glad I don't do those things!

Next thing....we were running around playing thundering herd of elephants and wrassling. We kept bumping into things while we were wrassling...and one of us was merowing and, well, kind of whining. I believe it was me getting the better of Orion this time, and he didn't like it. Meowm was tired of all the racket and squirted both of us with the water! I can't believe she did that to ME!!!! But we did both settle down....then we all went to sleep. At least I was getting the better of Orion!!! :)

Thankful Thursday

Some days my brother is very calm and hardly bothers me at all. As you can see, he even has moments of sweetness. But not this morning! He was attacking me on the big bed...and all I was doing was laying there napping (actually I was waiting patiently for Meowm to get up and feed us, but she doesn't know that). Anyway, one minute it is calm, the next second I have been pounced on. The only consolation is taht he got his butt swatted for attacking me. He just doesn't realize that Meowm is on my side!!!!!

I'm gonna go hide in the PTU now....he doesn't like it in there.~~Junior

**Attacking may be a strong word. I think he wants to play, but he just doesn't back down and leave me alone when I am done, or don't want to play.**

Tabby Tuesday

Hey everybody! We hope everyone had a great holiday! We got to have Meowm home most of the time. She was keeping an eye on my brother. He has been doing lots better, but he did throw up this morning. Meowm put some of that probiotic acidophilus stuff in his food this morning.....like she does for me. She is hoping that this will take care of everything. Other than this morning my brother has been doing well. Eating, visiting the litterbox, keeping Meowm company in the human litterbox room. One funny thing is, he is looking for new places to nap. He still goes in the PTU and has found a couple of other places to hang out. Do you think he is avoiding me? Meowm thinks he may be tired of me either trying to play with him so much, or trying to be to dominant. Whatever it is, she doesn't want him throwing up a bunch again. He did eat afterwards, so we aren't worried.....right now. I will leave you with my brother enjoying the sun!

Feeling lots better

I'm feeling purrty much back to normal. I have been checking out some new places to nap/perch. I have actually been going into the PTU voluntarily! Meowm thinks I have been looking for places where Orion won't bug me. I haven't thrown up and have been eating quite well. As you can see in the pictures, I am back on my tree. I think this made Meowm feel quite a bit better as she hadn't seen me up here since I got sick. I want to personally THANK ALL OF YOU who purrayed for me and sent well wishes. I could feel them while I was in the v-e-t and I know they helped Meowm. I'm going to nap more now.

We have improvement!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When I got home tonite, there was no vomit anywhere. Junior met me at the door and patiently waited for food. He has been eating off and on for a little over an hour now. He has checked out some more of the house...found a new perch...and crawled back in the PTU for a few minutes. As I type he is drinking some water! Halleluah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am holding off on any more medicines...cause I don't want to cause him to throw up.

Thaks again for all the well wishes, purrayers and advice! All of you helped me feel much better through all of this and I know that all the purrayers helped Junior!

More news

Junior has some diarrhea last night, so I told the vet about that today. She didn't test a stool sample, so she is putting him on metronidazole. The vet is thinking maybe he has coccidia. So, according Dr. Daisy and her Mom, metronidazole is good for coccidia and also is used for IBD...so he will be covered either way.

Junior is still feeling poorly

From yesterday:

**It's about 8:45 p.m. now and Junior just threw up all the food he had throughout the day. Looks like he ate wet and dry. I had just given him his medicine, so I don't imagine any of that stayed in. It made him drool quite a bit before he threw up. Makes me want to not give him the medicine.**

This morning he ate a smidge of wet food (Fancy Feast), and wandered away. Then he came back, ate a bit of dry (RC Siamese), and wandered away. He laid on a blanket in the corner and I brought over some Natural food, he had about 10 pieces of that...a bit more of that one than of the other two. He sat in front of the litterbox this morning, looking at it like he wanted to go in, but didn't want to go in. He finally did go in and pee'd. I told him I would clean it up real good tonite~~because it is time and I wonder if the old litter is bothering him. He isn't up to playing with Orion, and doens't hesitate to let him know it when Orion tries to play. I can pet him a little, but for the most part he just wants to be left alone.

I am going to look for some natural wet food, and doulbe check with the vet to make sure they tested for a UTI. Past this, I have no idea what to do except pray. I am thankful that it is along weekend so I can stay close to home and monitor him.

Thank you all again for your thoughts and purrayers.

Another update

I picked Junior up at the vet and we headed home. He wasn't very vocal again. We got home and he wandered around and checked the place out. I put some food out for him and he didn't eat it. I gave him a Temptation and he didn't eat it. He has visited the litterbox and now has a bit of diarrhea. I went and got in the bathtub, hoping he would come in and keep me company like he always does....and he didn't. He is sleeping right now. I am hoping he is a bit miffed at me for leaving him at the vet, and that they fed him quite well.....and that is why he is acting like he is.

I have two medicines to give him, carafate and metoclopramide. The vet did say that it might take him a couple of days to get back to normal eating.....I hope that is all it takes. If he doesn't eat in the morning I will be syringe feeding him.

I will keep everyone updated. Thanks for your concern, purrs and purrayers.

Update on Junior

Meowm here:

The vet called and said that Juniors demeeanor is good. He is meowing and wanting out of the cage and wanting to come home. He hadn't eaten any of the food that they gave him, so they were going to try syringe feeding him some food. He hadn't thrown up. Fast forward a couple of hours. He has taken the syringe feeding fine and the food has stayed down. So I am going to go get him in about an hour. They gave him some carafate (I'm not sure what that does), and some stuff to coat his tummy, plus his fluids. I would leave now except I am so behind at work that I have to stay a bit longer.

Thank you all for your purrs, purrayers.....all of it. They have helped and I will be sure to show all of them to Junior.

Update on Junior

Meowm here:

Junior went to the vet today at 2. He hadn't thrown up again when I took him to the vet, but I don't know if he had eaten anything either. On the drive to the vet he meowed but wasn't his usual noisy self. His blood work is all good, as well as the urine analysis. He didn't have a fever, but has lost about 2 pounds since February. X-rays show the normal back up of poo...not enough~in the vets opinion~for him to be throwing up. He is dehydrated. He is very hissy/growly when you are near his belly and was NOT happy with the vet pressing on it. So he is staying over night, getting some fluids and something to coat his stomach. If he doesn't throw up anymore they will try some solid food tomorrow. The doctor thinks he may have irritable bowel syndrom. I DID NOT WANT TO LEAVE MY BOY THERE! Even knowing that all the tests came back with good results, and the doctor thinking it is IBS, I just didn't want to leave him...but I know he needs a bit of help. I cried telling him good night, and telling him to be good, and to eat tomorrow. I cried on my drive home, and have been fighting back tears since I have been home. I am glad Orion is here, but he isn't my Junior and I really want him back to his old self. So, I am going to ask for some amped up purrs for him please. I really want my boy to eat, poop if he needs to, and to come back home. Thank you.

Tabby Tuesday

My brother is still not feeling well. He doesn't want to play with me even a little...I try and he REALLY hisses at me...not his play hiss. He doesn't eat much of his food, so I eventually get to eat it (which I like). I want my brother back....I think Meowm is going to take him to the v-e-t place tonite.
