Seeing out the big window
I was having trouble with this. Meowma says this is cause we live in a basement apartment and I am not tall enough to see out that window. So last night Meowma decided to move the cabinet my bed was on in front of the big window. I was scared for a minute....I thought maybe we were moving again....but then I remembered that when the furniture got moved, I was in my carrier. I wasn't in my carrier last night so I decided to hang out and watch. Once Meowma got the cabinet moved, she picked me up and plopped me in my bed. WOW! Now I can see outside! I can watch the beans and the birds fly around! Meowma said that if the duckies get close enough I will be able to see them too! It is wonderful! I can snuggle in my bed and see outside! I think I am gonna like this new situation!

Meowma had a dental yesterday
She got home early yesterday and she didn't look to good or to happy. She looked a little green around the gills. She told me the cleaning lady used that new super sonic cleaner (or something like that) and that the cleaning lady hit lots of nerves in her mouth. She told me she was okay till she got in the car to drive back to work then it hit her. She got sick to her stomach and light headed. Then she told me that she would rather be put under...like they did to me...than have to deal with that again.
I was thinking "Whatever Meowm....JUST FEED ME!" I gave her the cute face, no food. I meowed and purred purrty for her, no food. I jumped up on the counter by my EMPTY dish, no food. I even got frisky and played around...NO FOOD! I had to wait till my usual feeding time. It was horrible!
Meowma....next time you come home early you better feed me RIGHT AWAY! Sheesh!

I thought I was in serious trouble.....
I was laying on the bed with Meowmy this morning. I was laying up by her head and she was petting me. Ya know that really wonderful spot on your back by your tail? That spot that feels real good when your bean rubs it, but if they hit the wrong spot it kinda hurts? Yep...Meowmy was rubbing that spot and doing a good job....but then she hit that bad place. And without even thinking about it I scratched her. Usually I just mrrrow at her and she quits....but for some reason I did the scratch thing instead. And guess where I scratched her? No, not the eye. No, not the nose. Yep, I scratched her upper lip. Her hand went right off me and to her lip and all she said was "OK". She got up out of bed and went to the bathroom and looked at herself. She didn't say anything to me.....she didn't hit me (which I was very thankful for). She didn't speak to me for awhile. I was getting kinda worried so I started rubbing against her. I talked to her a bit in my most purrtiest voice and she reached down and petted me....Thank Goodness!
She went on about her business...ya know, the usual things she does in the morning. She petted me a couple more times and told me "no more butt rubs for you for awhile". I guess I can live that for "awhile". As long as that is not to long! Before she left, she picked me up and said "You have to learn to be careful where you scratch your Meowmy". I hope I can learn that...and I hope she can learn to not scratch that certain spot on my back...

My favorite sparkle ball
I had so much fun early this morning! When me and Mewoma moved she found my favorite sparkle ball! Meowma tells me this is the sparkle ball that came with me when she adopted me. So I was all over the place playing with it this morning! I played in the area where Meowm sits and watches the box that has moving things in it...I think she calls it a TV.
The best time came when I moved into where she sleeps. I flung that sparkle ball up on her bed. I pounced on it and put the bitey on it and flung it all over the bed. I know she was awake after this so I quit playing for a minute. And guess what?! It was just enough to make her get out of bed to find it for me! I guess she thought I had lost it! It was all I could do to not laugh at her! Silly Meowm! I knew where the sparkle ball was the whole time! I have now found a new way to wake her and make her get up! I am so proud of myself....if I could only pat myself on the back.
Okay, well, she didn't stay up and feed me or give me treats but she did pet on me a bit before she went back to sleep. I will have to work on these skills some more....maybe fling something bigger on the bed next time!
Oh and by the way......she fed me treats last night! Maybe I have got her trained a bit better than I thought.

She Who Came Before Me..
I could tell when I first came to my Meowmy that her heart had been very hurt. I could smell another meezer had been the house before me. Plus there were the tell-tail signs......brown fur (which, of course, I don't have), already slobbered on schmousies and feather toys, blankies with both brown fur and slobbers on them. So I knew there had been One Before Me. Sometimes Meowmy would be crying, holding this picture and talking to China. One night as Meowma was holding China's picture she told me about her.
China came to Meowma from a friend at work. They didn't want her anymore so Meowma said she would adopt her. China hid under the bed when she first got to Meowmas but it didn't take Meowma long to coax her out with some petting. It took China awhile to warm up to Meowma, but she did warm up to her. Meowma said that China purred alot, unlike me. And she meowed alot and loudly, unlike me. But Meowma loved her. They would play together and sleep together, and when Meowma moved, China took it in stride and settled into the new place very nicely. China also helped nurse Meowma back to health after she had an operation, and Meowma was very glad to have her there, along with my Grandmeowm and Grandpaw.
China was never sick, and on the night she went to the bridge, she was her normal self. Playing around and just being a happy meezer. Meowma said that China curled up next to her, had some troubles breathing, swatted at her head and broke one of her whiskers, meowed loudly and then she was gone. Meowma said she cried and cried cause she loved China so much and wanted her to stay, but it was her time to go.
It didn't take Meowma long to figure out that she wanted another meezer. She said at first that she wanted another Seal Point like China...but once she saw me, and saw that I had been in foster for two years....she knew that I needed a furever home. So here I am. She said that she loved China very, very much and that she loves me just as much. She also told me that no matter where she goes.....I go with her. She said she will never leave me behind or make me go back to rescue.
I wish I could have met China....but I just look at her picture...and sometimes Meowma still talks about her to me. So in honor of She Who Came Before Me....I will post a couple of pictures of her.

The journey to Meowms house...
I thought I would tell you a little more about my journey to Meowms house. My foster Meowm woke me up and brought me out into the living room of the house. I'm pretty dominate so I had to be in my own room. She told me goodbye and stuck me in one of those carrier things. From there I was put into the back of a large metal thing with wheels. I think it is called a SUV. I meowed for awhile...I didn't like being stuck in the back...in that cage...all alone. After awhile I gave up and just napped.
When we stopped...the beans took me out of the back and we went into this building. Oh it smelled heavenly....like bread and all kinds of foods. I heard someone say "Subway". I don't know what that is, but it sure smelled good. It was warm also, so I took another nap. After a bit some other beans came along and started talking to the beans that had brought me in. One bean peered at me in the cage and called me by name. I opened my eyes briefly.....and then went back to dozing.
The next thing I knew I was back in the back of the SUV. But that bean that peered at me was there too! And they let me out of the cage. Wow! I was very happy! I really wanted to explore. The beans had put out some food and water for me....also a litter box, but I wan't interested in that. I started roaming around and sniffing. They didn't let me get away with that for long. Pretty quickly the bean that had peered at me in the cage had me in her arms and was hugging me! Oh it felt good....but I still wanted to stretch my legs. She let me go, but a short time later I was back in another cage. It was a bigger cage....but it was still a cage. Then I was put in another smaller metal box.....a car.
Off we went. I started to get the feeling this was my new Meowm. She let me out of the big cage for a bit. I wandered around and checked things out...a few times. I left my hair everywhere, just to make sure the beans knew I was there. After I had sufficiently checked everything out, I went back into the cage. I was there for a long time. I didn't th ink I was ever gonna get out. But finally we stopped...and my new Meowm pulled me out of the cage and we went into this little house. She set me down and I immediately did a quick check of the entire house.
Then I found the bucket of goodies! Ah nip! I was in heaven...I had my nose buried in it! A bean tipped over the bucket and I played for a bit. Then I heard food and water, so I went to eat. I spent the entire night exploring....and my Meowm just let me.
I am happy to say I love my new home and my new Meowm! And I think she kinda loves me too!

And now for a word on grooming....
Beans are weird! My Meowmy gets in this big tub most nights and fills it up with water. I don't really know what she does in there, but she seems to enjoy it. I put my front paws on top of the side and look in but I never see anything fun in there....no mousies, no food. Strange! Then, after awhile, she gets out. She seems happy when she gets out....and she smells better, so I figure this is some weird grooming ritual that beans have.
But she doesn't like it when I try to groom her hair. So who cares if it is first thing in the morning!? Shouldn't a bean be clean for the day? Sheesh! This morning I tried to groom her hair and her arms started flailing about and I had to run or get knocked off the bed! She has done this before and I just don't understand.....someone please explain to her that I am just trying to help! (And no, just because I start grooming after that noisy box goes off does not mean I want to be fed).

Comments? Just for me?
Thank you all for welcoming me to this blogging world! I have been an avid reader (yes...meezers can read, I know some beans don't believe this!) of blogs for quite some time! So it is fun to finally join them! Bear with me while I learn how to do all the different fun stuff.

Veggies.....
I will chat a bit about veggies today. I used to not care about veggies....until I got this wonderful carrot! A nice lady that my bean knows sent it to me in a "cat swap". Yea, that is weird...cat swap....it isn't like I went anywhere! Anyway....once Meowmy got that carrot out and gave it to me, I just couldn't stay away from it!
At first I was a little nervous. I mean...look at it! It's orange....I'm orange! Why would I want to nibble on something that is the same color as me? But Meowm assured me that veggies were good for me...so I gave that big ole carrot a try. I love it! Now I can't stay away from it! Meowm has shown me some pictures of other furbabies eating bananas....those look good....I gotta get Meowm to get me one of those!
(I am trying to put some pictures up but am having some trouble...I will try again later).

Rain! Rain!
We got lots of rain yesterday. I was so excited when Meowmy got home....she opened up the window in the bedroom for me and I got to sniff outside. It smelled so good! But she closed it when we went to bed. Darn her! I like to sneak around during the night and I really wanted to be able to spend some more time in the window. Well, I showed her this morning! She wanted to pet me and I was miffed at her, so I didn't let her! We'll just see if she leaves that window open longer tonite!

Hello Everyone!
After many days of reading other blogs I have decided to join the world of blogging. I will start with a little about myself.
I am a 4 year old Flamepoint Siamese. I live with my Meowmy in Salt Lake City, Utah. We just moved a week ago to this new place, so I am still checking it out. My Meowmy adopted me in January of 2006 from Rocky Mountain Siamese Rescue. She drove to a place called Rawlins, Wyoming to pick me up and bring me home.
We had a few rough times when I first came to live with her. I was nervous and bit her a few times, but she has kept me, and some would say I am spoiled. I'm not spoiled.....my Meowmy just loves me bunches.
Hmmmmm, I hear something scratching around...I better go check that out. More later!
