Home Sweet Home

I'm back home and a bit peeved at Meowm! First, she takes away my food so I can't nibble at will during the night......then she doesn't feed me in the morning! I begged and begged and looked my cutest....to no avail! Then the PTU came out!!!!! I knew something was up and started to go hide, but she caught me before I could get there. Out to the big machine again and....I thought it was cold inside? Man, was it cold outside!!!!!!!!! Meowm even covered up the PTU with a blanket and cranked the heat, but it took a little while before I got warmed up. And about the time I got warmed up, we stopped and I was back out in the cold.....then in the v-e-t office! Horrors!!!!!!! I was carted off in the PTU and put in a cage! Then a stranger removed me from the cage and I don't know what happened after that. When I woke again, the world looked purrty funny and I couldn't stand up or walk very well....and my Meowm was no where in sight. Finally the stranger put me back in my PTU and hauled me around again.....then I saw my Meowm! I was a bit to groggy to give her a good scolding, but I did my best. Home looked vaguely familiar.......but it was still a bit funky, and the sounds were strange! I was still a bit wobbly so Meowm was making sure I was safe and not falling over (it was the least she could do!). I wandered around and wandered around and checked things out and finally felt comfortable enough to lay down for a little while. But when she got up and went to another room I felt compelled to follow her! I was so glad when we went to the big human bed for the night! No more wandering......things looked a little less funky and it was purrty quiet by then. I am feeling more like myself this morning.....and Meowm fed me (well she did feed me after I got home from the v-e-t) right away.....but I am not very pleased with her and did the tail swishy thing to let her know about it! My mouth does feel better though, so I guess I will have to forgive Meowm........eventually!

I am gonna go nap now........

Oh, a couple more things. I still have all my teeth and thank you all for the good thoughts! I am certain they helped!

A terrible thing has happened!

That wonderful horsie Barbaro was put to sleep this morning. Meowm and I had been watching his story. We hoped and prayed that he would be able to live a comfy, pain free life, but it was not to be. We will be lighting a candle tonite for him and please everyone pray for his family and all who helped take care of him!

Meezer Monday!!!!!!

I am a little blurry but that is okay. I have to talk today about a place the Meowm heard about. It is called Rolling Dog Ranch. Its an animal sanctuary that takes care of handicapped animals. Go check it out!

Will this cold ever leave?

Meowm comes in at night and seals us in! She tucks purrfectly good blankies at the bottom of the door and she hangs a wonderful blankie over the front of the same door. (I want that blankie to sleep on! It is soft and warm!) She hardly leaves the house...which is nice cause I love having her home toplay with me and keep me warm in bed at night.

But at the same time....I would like the giant window uncovered so I can see what is happening in the world. I can poke my head through the things she calls blinds, but that isn't as nice as having the whole window uncovered. Meowm even covered up that spot where I know there is a critter trying to get in! What in the world is a cat to do?

Brrrrrrrrrr! It's still cold!

Will it never warm up?! Meowm sometimes covers me up when I am sleeping. She doesn't cover me up all the way cause I don't like it, but she does make sure that I keep plenty warm!

I had fun playing in that tub of water last night. There are things in that water that I try to swat at.....and it is funny cause sometimes it makes Meowm jump. That is kinda strange to me......if there are things in there that make her jump...why is she in there? It's a good thing I am there to protect her!

Toesday!.......and a yummy recipe!

First of all.....my cute toes!

Next....and anonymous friend wanted a recipe for Cinnamon Butter so I figured I would share it with everyone. This is not my recipe...it is a friends Mom's recipe and it is wonderful!

Cinnamon Butter

1/2 pound butter
1/2 pound (1 3/4 cups) powdered sugar
3 tablespoons cinnamon

Combine ingredients and mix well with an electric mixer. (I found that melting the butter a bit first was very helpful). Put into airtight container and keep refrigerated. Make approximately 20 ounces. (I also found that 3 tablespoons of cinnamon is quite a bit of cinnamon...so you may want to add it to your taste). And use a wide mouth container. Enjoy!!!!

It's Friday!!!!!!

Well, I don't have frootbat ears...but I do have cute ears!

I am so glad it is Friday! Me Meowm will be with me for the weekend! WOO HOO! I will have to practice my pouncing!

We are back!

Meowm came home Tuesday morning from work and she didn't look good. She had managed to stop and get me some food....she just loves me so much! She tood a nice hot bath....I stood guard over her. Then she crawled in bed and I snuggled up next to her to help keep her (and me) warm! She slept for awhile, then she got up and tried to eat some food. I think it didn't stay in her for long. She was up for a couple of hours and then we had another nap. She managed to keep a tiny bit of crackers down on Tusday night.

She stayed home with me yesterday too! We only had one nap though! But she felt better and that is a good thing! I really hated to see her leave this morning!

She has started doing something terrible to me. She gets this stuff she calls peroxide and rubs it on my chin! I squirm and squirm but I can't get away! She apologizes to me and tells me that it is for my own good, but I still hate it! She tells me that it will help my chin to not become a full blown ugly case of acne. ACNE! I can't have acne! (What is acne?). It doesn't sound good. And she is still talking about a dental....that means going to the v-e-t! Hmmmmm, maybe she should go to work rather than stay home with me.......

My Gotcha presents and Meezer Monday

The first picture is my new toy! A crinkle sack! It is quite fun...but it could be a bit bigger! The enxt picture, as you can tell, are some new mousies for me! They are quite fun! I have pounced on them quite a bit this weekend!

The last picture is my Meezer Monday picture! I have Zoltron eyes! I love sitting here, the box below me is very warm! Behind me are Christmas cards sent to Meowm and I from all kinds of other kitty lovers! And of course, that TV thing is next to me. Can anyone guess what show is playing? I've got a gift for the first correct answer!

Busy times.....

Meowm has been quite busy lately with work and it has been tough to get toeveryone on the list. It will be busy for quite awhile so if we don't get to you, don't feel left out. She will dontinue to help me blog, but we may get our posts in late some days!

No Frootbat pictures today! Nothing exciting last night. I was kinda wore out from my pouncing and nipping that I slept alot last night. That and I snuggled a bit with my Meowm. It is supposed to be chilly this weekend so we are gonna focus on keeping warm!

My incredible pouncing.....

I was in the perfect spot last night, hidden by a couple of boxes. I spotted my prey...a lone SOR (son of a rodent). He just sat there....lost in his own little world. I wobbled my butt around...I had to get just the right balance. I had a box to clear after all! I couldn't get to low to the ground...I didn't have to......the SOR was clueless...the poor sap. I gauged the distance, gauged the height I would need to clear the box............and I jumped! I jumped so high, I swear I felt the ceiling graze the tips of my ears! I could see everything for a brief moment....my food dish, my Meowm, my bed...my entire home! Then I was on him! I sank my claws and teeth into him, preparing for him to struggle for his life! I braced myself....any second he would start squirming....his little rodent claws would come out and he would squeal for his life! I started rabbit kicking him...beating him to the squirming.....beating him to within an inch of his now pitiful life. He still wasn't fighting back...was he frozen in fear? Had I scared him to death? I threw in a few more rabbit kicks....maybe they would kick start him. Still nothing! No fighting back, no trying to escape.....the predator in me was very disappointed! Had the sneaky rat bastard planned this all along? Did he know this whole time that I was planning to pounce? I threw in a couple more kicks......just in case. Still no reaction! Darn! This was no fun! I wandered away to look for some nip.......and some dreams of serious pouncing.

Gotcha Day gift suggestions

Wow! You all had some great suggestions! Meowm says she wishes she could get all of them! Here are the suggestions:
1. A new bed
2. Whirlybird toy or Scratchy Mouse
3. Hugs and snuggles
4. Brother or Sister
5. Scratching post

Now Meowm says she could afford to get one of the following:
1. new bed

4. scratching post

She says she can always give me hugs and snuggles. She would like to get me brother or sister, but I am purrty dominant and she can't pay any extra v-e-t bills, so a brother or sister is out. A cat condo is a small possibility......but it would have to be small....so that one will have to wait. She says maybe when she gets her taxes she can get me a cat condo.

So, now she has some things to choose from. I can't wait to see what she brings me home!

It's Toesday......

And here I am with no new toe pictures! I must let Meowm know my displeasure . I can't complain about no tummy pictures because I don't let Meowm near enough to get good pictures of my incredible washboard abs. ;)

We didn't do much last night for my Gotcha Day. I got a new mousie and Meowm says we will celebrate more over the weekend. I can hardly wait to see what I get! A new bed? A new toy? A new blanket? Wht do all you blogging cats think I should get? Give my Meowm some good ideas!

It's been purrty chilly here, so I have been snuggling in my flame bed quite a bit. Meowm took one of my blankies out of the dryer thing the other night and laid it on top of me in my flame bed. It was so warm that I curled up and slept really good! I tucked my nose in to keep it warm too!

Speaking of sleeping...it's time for a nap!!

My Gotcha Day and Meezer Monday!

One year ago Meowm and I made the long journey so that we could be together! I came from Denver, Colorado area and Meowm came from Salt Lake City, Utah area and we met for the first time ever in Rawlins, Wyoming!

It has been a year full of love and I have been spoiled tons! I started out scratching and biting Meowm a bit, but she kept right on loving me and now I have cuddled up next to her (twice) while she is watching TV. I have been sick once and I got to go on a wonderful road trip to meet my cousins and my Uncle bean.

I love my Meowm and I am so glad that I adopted her!

The last of the trip.....

I couldn't visit Grandmeowm and Grandpaw and not check out the fireplace. I had never seen one of these and found it quite interesting. Things had just been burned in it and it was still warm, otherwise I probably would have climbed further in.

The two bean girls are my.....hmmmm, let's see....I guess they would be my bean cousins. Their names are Brooke and Tori (Tori is the redhead). They came and met me but I was a little grumpy so they were spooked by me.

The scenery picture is from outside of Moab, Utah. They have lots of cool red rocks like this. Meowm says that one time we will have to go through Arches National Park and take pictures of those to share.

Well, that is the end of the trip. I had lots of fun and met lost of new beans and kitties. I was glad to get back home though.....and I think that I behaved well enough that Meowm may take me again!
