Mancat Monday

It was another cold, snowy, then sunny but cold weekend here in Utah.  Brrrrr!  I spent more than a few hours curled up in front of the fireplace or on Meowms lap.  At night I have taken over the place above Meowms head.  Meowm had created a spot for Junior to sleep that was away from Sammy, and I love that spot!  Usually by morning though, I am curled up near Meowms feet as I just get a bit to warm up basically on top of her head! 

I also played some rousing games of thundering Herd of Elephants and watched bird TV once the sun came out.  All in all it was a wonderful weekend!  Hope yours was too!

We are blowing raspberries at Monday and yelling at it because it takes Meowm away from us!

Finally Friday

We decided to share a picture of our beautiful brofur today.  Meowm keeps looking at some other kitties, but she is not sure she wants to bring another home.  She doesn't want us acting up and just having the two of us helps with the green papers.  We guess if one comes along that she just can't say  no to, we may end up with a sisfur.  Time will tell.

Meowm has signed up as a volunteer for a new program here at the animal shelter system.  They are setting up a Baby Bottle Feeding program.  They will have a NICU located at one of the shelters, or people can foster.  Meowm will be going to the NICU to help out.  She volunteered for 2, two hour shifts a week.  You may be seeing some baby kitty pictures here in the future.

Also Meowm has signed up as a volunteer with the Underground Railroad Rescued Kitty Network.  They are Facebook and it is volunteers across the nation that help get rescued kitties to their new homes.  We can always use more volunteers, so go sign up if you are interested. 

And Meowm will have her first kitties to transport on March 4th.  Two kitties coming from Kansas city, MO to Reno, NV.  Meowm will be taking the Salt Lake to Wendover leg,  and possibly going as far as Wells, NV.  Also the kitties will be staying with us the night of the 3rd.  We will remind her to charge up the camera and get pictures to share.

Today we are enjoying some sunshine.  We are so glad it is back out and shining thru our big bedroom window.  It isn't alot warmer outside, but the sun coming in the window sure feels good on our furs.

Wordless Wednesday

Meezer Monday

We got more of that white stuff this weekend.  Meowm says "ENOUGH"!!  While she does appreciate the moisture, she is tired of the bad roads and the inversions. 

We don't care either way.  We just hang out and look out the windows at the birdies that are still hanging around.  When we get to chilly from doing that we head over ot the fireplace and warm our little tushies.  When Meowm is at work and the fireplace is off, I have been curling up in, yes IN, the big bed.  It is quite toasty in there!  It is a far cry from where I was a few winters ago.  I sure don't miss trying to keep warm or trying to keep cool out there in the world.  I am quite content hainging out in here with my brofur and Meowm!  I wish all cats could know how this feels!!!

Finally Friday

My brofur was snoozing on the big bed yesterday, under the covers!!!  I don't know how he stands it!  It gets very warm in there.  Meowm thought it was very cute and made smoochie noises at Sammy.  Guess I am going to have to work on upiing my cuteness factor!

Dental Wednesday

A picture of beloved Junior for you.  We sure miss him.

Sammy-I got loaded up and hauled away this morning.  I did not appreciate it at all and let Meowm know about it.  The next thing I knew I was drowsy and when I woke up I was groggy.  Meowm  tells me that I had a couple of my "nitpickers" as Daisy called them (my little front teeths) removed.   Meowm says I was given a shot of pain killer and a shot of antibiotics that will last about a week.  Also I recieved a shot of anti-inflammatory as my gums were quite inflamed.  No other problems found.   My blood work was good and I came out of the anesthesia well.  An x-ray was taken of my mouth to make sure I didn't have any lesions hiding and all was well there too.  Meowm says I have to go back in 2 weeks to get looked at to make sure the inflammation is going down.  

Meowm is very happy that all is going so well given my FIV+ status.  I am very happy to be back home!  Thank you for the purrs and if you could say a few more for hte inflammation to go down we would really appreciate it! 

Toofie Tuesday

Meowm says I have to go for a dental tomorrow.  I don't know what a dental is.  I hope it is fun though!

I think this may explain the reason that Sammy has been yelping (for lack of a better word).  He had done it that one time in front of the fire, jumped up and ran.  Then he was in my lap one time and I noticed he did it after he yawned.  I didn't think much about it, till he did it again last night.  So I figure his teeth may be bothering him.  Since he is FIV+ that is one place that is very affected and he is a bit past due on his dental......so here we go.

Finally Friday!!

WOO HOO!!  It's Friday!!!  More time with Meowm!!!!!! 

Friends, I am concerned about my brofur.  Something spooked him the other night that made him jump up, make a little noise and run and hide.  He has been spooked since then and is hiding more again.  Meowm thinks that maybe the dryness sparked a little static and he got shocked, she just can't figure out what else might have happened.  Anyway, if your would purr a bit for him we would appreciate it.  He was doing so well coming out of his shell more, and now he is back in a bit.  Thanks!
