Meezer Monday******updated
We had a great weekend! We had sun and cooler weather! We got Meowm to stay at home, play with us, brush us and take naps with us. We can hardly wait for the next one, Meowm says it is a three day weekend!!!
We also need your help. One of Meowms friends adopted a kitty from the shelter. When they took her in to be spayed, the doctor opened her up and discovered she was a he. While the kitty was under anesthesia, he stopped breathing.....andnow he is blind. It may be temporary blindness, it might clear up in two weeks to a few months.....or not at all. So, aside from purrs being needed, Meowms friend needs som suggestions on how to make kittys life a bit easier. So, any suggestions, links, etc. would be greatly appreciated. When kitty was thought to be female, she was named Selene....we don't know if they have settled on a new name yet.

Disgruntled Thursday
Despite Meowm telling us she was going to get better at helping us blog...she obviously hasn't. She thinks that if she doesn't do it at home with us, that she can do it elsewhere on her own. This is good in theory, but she is a bit busy elsewhere and then our blog doesn't get done...or it gets done but not to our liking. I just don't get why she just doesn't work with us at night to do this. We are all just hanging around, not doing anything terribly important, it's the purrfect time to take care of it. I really don't know what we are going to do with her. If only we had opposable thumbs.......
Thank you for the purrs for Mickey. He gets to come home today.

The Story of Me Saving My Meowm From Trouble
I had to save Meowm from trouble last week. We have these new neighbors with two woofies. Ever since they have moved in, Meowm hears them yelling at one of their woofies. They open the door to take them out to do their business, not holding the leash of said woofie, and she wants to take off running....so she gets yelled at. they get up in the grassy area, and said woofie wants to go visit people and other woofies, maybe investigate the ducks or kitties outside, so off she goes, again her people not holding her leash.....and she gets yelled at. One day the woofie and the female person were out, and they came back in and Meowm heard her say to the man that the woofie and been "bad". She told him what the woofie and done, and the next thing Meowm heard was a yelp, and the man saying "now you won't do that again will you?" Needless to say, Meowm is getting tired of this.
So the day we are talking about, Meowm hears their door open, and then she hears "if you behave like that I won't even take you out to pee". So Meowms hackles are already up. Then when they are coming back in, Meowm hears a yelp. Well, Meowm had enough, she jumped out, threw open our door and said "Really? Kicking?" And the man said "Why would I kick my own dog?" Well Meowm wanted to say all kinds of stuff.....none that would have ended well, and I knew this. So I did what had to be done, create a distraction.
I wandered out the door, and walked right in between those two woofies and their people. I poofed myself up nice and big and hissed at those woofies so they wouldn't get me. Meowm and the other people were so shocked to see me out there, that they all shut right up. Meowm proceeded to grab me and haul my bootie right back in the house. I wasn't happy about that part, but at least my plan worked. No more possibility of heated discussion between the humans.
We are happy to report that the people seem to be treating that woofie a bit better these days. We are hearing a lot more praise for her when she does good. We certainly hope those people know that big sister is watching!

See You Later Sweet Eric!!!
We didn't visit Eric often, but he will be missed. Please purr for his Mom who couldn't be with him during his crossing, and light a candle for his journey over the bridge. You can read more about Eric here.
