Rest in Peace Baby Lily

At approximately 6:45 pm tonite Baby Lily was humanely put to sleep. Meowm got to her around 4:30 pm and she had a seizure at 4:55. She was given valium, but continued having seizures for a total of 4 more up until 5:55pm. (For every seizure she was given more valium). Then she rested peacefully for awhile. Meowm talked to her and petted her the whole time. Baby was able to pick up her head a few times and sniff Meowm and also had the strength to growl a bit at Meowm at one time. But the seizures were to numerous and Meowm and the vet were sure she had been having others all day long....it is just that she wasn't being watched every minute....so rather than have her continue hurting, she was put to sleep. Meowm talked to her before the medicine was administered and told her that she was going some place warm and beautiful, where there would always be a sunbeam to lie in and where no one and no other animal would hurt her. Meowm told her to look for China (she who came before me) and that when Meowm crosses the bridge that Baby would be hers and she could live with us. Then Meowm held her paw and had her other hand on Baby's side, and when Meowm couldn't feel her body breathing the doctor listened and she had a bit of a heartbeat left...so Meowm continued touching her and talking to her till she was gone.

I gotta go take care of Meowm now. Thank you all for your purrayers for Baby and for Meowm.

Oh jeeze - we came to send purrs to Baby Lily, now we gotta send them to you and your Meowm. We are so sorry for your loss - even though she was just a stray, it's never okay to loose a kitty. Our mommy's eyes are leaking now - but we hope Lily will see Purdy and Basil (the ones that went before us), they are sure to take care of her across the bridge.

Your mom did such a wonderful thing for that poor little baby. At least Lily didn't die alone, out in the cold, the way she lived her life.
She knew care and love, even if only for a short time. She had your mom by her side as she went to the Bridge. And she had the promise that she would see you all again someday.
Junior, please take extra good care of your mom tonight, she will need it.

We're so sorry that Baby ended up being so ill. It was so very kind and generous of your Meowm to take her in and get her the help she needed so that she didn't have to suffer outdoors in the cold until she died out there which would have been a cold, lonely death. Bless you and your Meowm. We're sending both of you healing purrayers and purrs and headbutts and nose kisses.

Junior this is such heartbreaking mews about Baby Lily. I always believe that when a kitty goes to heaven, God places it into the lap of the angel from where it first began the journey down to earth. The circle is complete, free from pain with much to talk about from the adventure on earth good and bad...
Your mommy has a heart of gold for reaching tenderly to this waif of the streets.
God Bless and comfort you both...
