Mancat Monday

Here we are all again! It was another wonderful weekend of window whiffies, good foods and scritches! Some of us aren't getting along so well, those whose names begin with a J and an S, so Meowm is going to get calming collars for all of us. Well, at least for the two previously mentioned. Meowm had to separate them one night for a bit so the spats would stop. Other than that life is purrty calm. We hope all of you that left a message for Navar's passing and his family noticed the message his Mom left. If you haven't seen it, please go back and look. Nothing else spectacular to share. Meowm still needs to get those zoo pictures downloaded so we can share them. Everyone have a great week!!! ~~Orion

We haz a big, big, big sad.....

Some of you may remember when we posted about our furiend Navar. He was on a big fancy looking bed, looking amazing. Sadly, Navar crossed the bridge tonite. He was having troubles breathing so Meowm and his Mom took him to the emergency vet (the only kind that was open since it was a state holiday). An x-ray was taken which showed several problems. Lots of fluid surrounding his lungs, small kidneys and a mass near or in his lungs. He was immediately put into an oxygen chamber after the x-ray and his health was discussed. It could be one of several things, FIV, FLV, FIP, cancerous tumor or heart failure. All of these things fatal. The offer was made for him to stay overnight in the oxygen and be given some medicines to help remove the fluids. From the time Meowm picked them up to the time he was x-rayed, he was visibly having more trouble. His Mom made the heart rending decision to have him euthanized. She knew he would hate being at the vet overnite and she didn't want him to suffer simply so he could be there longer for her. Meowm was there the whole time and they cried many tears. He was 12 years old, had a great life, and was loved by many. Please leave some purrs for his grieving family and friends. We are going to miss the big lump. He had a sweet little meow and was just a big lump of love. Thank you.

Meezer Monday

It was a wonderful weekend! Meowm only disappeared on us on Friday evening. she was with us the rest of the weekend! We got all kinds of rubs and scritches, and play time! We had some tasty noms this weekend, a bit of burger from a hamburger Meowm had at lunch one day. YUM! Of course, we had plentu of naps and some window whiffing! Each morning we got window whiffing and last night we had some when the rain came! It's a great life!!!!! ~~Sammy

We Haz a Sad

The beautiful and amazing K was taken by the evil "c". We have been following K and her family for awhile and leaving a message here and there. We knew this was coming, but we are still very saddened for K's family. If you haven't already done so, please go leave a message. Also, look around while you are there, K's Mom takes some lovely photos and has wildlife cameras set up, so gets some good action shots too.

Meezer Monday

We finally got cooled off on Friday. Meowm came home to check on us about 1, and the A/C was not fixed, so she stayed home to make sure we would be okay. We did finally lay in the direction of the air blowing from the fan, but only since she was home. About 3:30 the dude finally came and got us fixed up. Good thing it was cooler on Friday! By the time he got it fixed our home was sitting at about 89 degrees. We were all thrilled with the cool air being back, so after about 30 minutes of it running, we all laid down for a nap. We slept much better in the cool air, than we did the night before in the hots! Then, it was cooler all weekend! We got to have the windows open and we smelled some rain! It was wonderful! Meowm went away early Sunday morning and when she came back she had the most interesting smells on her shoes. We smelled all kinds of wild critters on them! She said she went to Hogle Zoo to see the new Rocky Shores exhibit. We will share some pictures and video with you this week. Speaking of weeks, h0ope you all have a great one! ~~Sammy

Freakin' Hot Friday

Our A/C went on the fritz last night, so we will be doing something like this today (although not in the sun) till it gets fixed. Meowm did go buy us a nice fan this morning, but we aren't to sure about it, so we may not sit in front of it. At least it is a bit cooler outside today, it will only be 91 degrees today. Thinking cool thoughts, ~~Orion

Meezer Monday

This picture of me is "fancified". One of Meowms friends did some stuff to it and we like it. Not much to report here. It was a calm weekend for us,and a rather warm one also. As you can imagine, we all laid around and did our best to stay cool. Other than that, it was the usual play and eat, oh and watch bird TV, you know, a typical cat's life. ~~Junior

Well, us kitties are full of vim and vigor, but not so much Meowm! She is such a slug! It is all we can do to get her out of the big bed in the mornings! What in the world are a group of mancats to do?
