Wednesday Update
Junior and I had a great visit last night. He was perky, meowing and purring. He wanted nothing but to snuggle with me and I was happy to oblige, for hte entire 3 and 1/2 hours I was there. He only ate a little bit of turkey, but at least he ate a little bit. I left feeling good about how he was doing.
This morning his temperature is back up and he is acting sick again. The vet said she gave him a small dose of steroids yesterday and that may be why he was better. She said that he has been on heavy antibiotics for 4 days now and he should be improving. She suggested that it may very well be lymphoma, even thought the ultrasound didn't raise any alarm in that direction. We are currently waiting to see if he can have a endoscopy today or not. If he can't get one today, they may try syringe feeding him till tomorrow when he would be able to have the biopsy. A biopsy can tell us if he has IBD or they may just run into a mass and know it is cancer. IBD is treatable with steroids, but she doesn't want to do heavy dose of that because it can change the biopsy results.

We're purring and purraying for the best possible outcome. Yes, IBD can be treated, mostly via a raw and/or single protein source diet--a life sentence of steroids isn't a given.
But that's getting way ahead....We're just keeping our paws crossed for him, and sending you both love and universal Light.
You know I am praying.

I never thought I would purr for IBD, but I sure am right now! Please keep us posted. I would love nothing more than to see Junior home and on the mend for Christmas.
we are so sorry and continue to purr that it is something treatable and he starts getting better.....
This is EXACTLY what our Mama Cat is going through!!! Shes on steroids which will help IBD and lymphoma - with our mama cat it could be either/or, she had lost so much weight (2.4 lb) and was down to 5lbs that we were scared to put her under for the biopsy - we have seem some improvement iwth the meds so far and she is eating like crazy! :)

It feels a little odd to purr for IBD but we are purring up a storm for Junior to just have that and not the other. Sending large purrs for the endoscopy to go well and Junior to start feeling better
