Finally Friday
My brofur is feeling better, but he won't let Meowm pick him up or pet him for very long. Meowm is sad about that and hopes that he will get over his skittishness soon.
Meowm thinks that Emily is spending time away from her perch when she isn't home, but once she gets home, Emily purrty much goes back to her perch on top of the refrigerator. She did hang out on the floor for a bit last night, and played a bit with a feather wand, but she still hardly lets Meowm pet her. Meowm feels like we have a half wild cat in our midst, and then she feels that Sammy has reverted to about 1/4 wild again. I guess I am the only tame kitty in the house.
Efurrybody have a great weekend!

please tell your mom that it will take a little time but Sammy will come around....it took Tim some time after his surgery to start feeling better and trust mom again (after all - she took him to the v-e-t). And if all else fails, bribery works :)
My cat, Ashton, wouldn't talk to me for a couple of months after I took him to the vet.
He still gets very upset with me. Sleeps in the other room.
I went away for the weekend and he just started to talk to me today.
After having dogs for 35+ years I can report with complete certainty that cats are hard. Who knew? Not me, that's for sure. Fortunately, they are all warm and furry and adorable and one little tiny purr can make your heart sing. So I guess good things come to those who wait? And wait. And wait some more.
Glad sweet Sammy is feeling better. And I do think Emily is acclimating quite well, all things considered. Have a lovely day everybuddy!
Once Sammy heals physically, I am sure he will start to come around again. And I bet Emily is still traumatized over her experience losing her human, and all the stuff that came after. It is harder for some kitties than it is for others.
We think efurrybody just needs sum more time. We'll be purring for all of you! XOXOXO
We know it has to be hard on everyone, but we're purring Sammy and Emily will adjust soon and give you that special purr you want.
I was quite distressed about leaving my last litter of kittens and taken unceremoniously to the Woman's home. I refused to have anything to do with her for sometime but I quite like Georgia and Gemini (who was about the same age as my kits), so I did interact with them even if I did not much like the woman. However, knowing that she was kind to the other cats and my friends and took good care of them, I gradually warmed to her. I am certain Emily will also come around. And I am glad to hear that Sammy is doing better! Purrs
Purrs for Sammy, we are sure he's feeling a little betrayed and hurty right now--nothing that time won't heal. Miss Emily will come around too, has your Meowm tried any positive food-for-interaction play?
I SO wish I lived khloser - I'd help tame woo ;-)

Purrs for Sammy. xxxx
Hi Orion, Sammy & Emily,
Our overseas visitors left this morning so we're FINALLY starting to catch up!!! :-) Sounds like things are a bit unsettled in your household - we do hope that everybody calms down soon! Your poor Meowm.
Muesli has been surprising us with our visitors - we thought she would have a TOTAL FREAKOUT coz we have never had houseguests since we adopted her - but actually, she did so much better than we thought...although she still had the odd morning where she suddenly decided they were scary and dived under the sofa to hide again! So maybe Sammy & Emily are having days like that sometimes...anyway, hope they both get smoochier and friendlier soon!
Slobbers,
Honey the Great Dane
