Thankful Thursday!!

Meowm had been concerned about a neighbor of ours, she was getting kicked out of her apartment because she had run out of money and she is waiting to get on disability. At the last minute the lady remembered she hadn't heard from social security, so she called and has been approved. She gets to stay, and doesn't have to re-home her cats. Meowm encouraged her to call for help on her utilities, as social security won't cover everything. And she encouraged her to call a disability lawyer that one of Meowms friends had given her the phone number for. Hopefully she will act on these things so she isn't facing this again in the near future.

So today we are thankful this worked out for the neighbor. We are thankful Meowm is able to work and keep a roof over our heads. We know she worries for all of us when she hits the retirement age, but we are very thankful for what we have.

We're glad your neighbour doesn't have to move or give up her kitties! The mom tries really hard not to think about life after retirement--heck, she might not even live to that age anyway. We don't worry, because we certainly won't live that long. Which might or might not be a good thing.
